Close your eyes. Breathe deeply and slowly. Imagine the clearest turquoise waters as far as the eye can see. Your toes are warm in the sand, the sun is on your face and the soft sea wind rustles the tropical greenery. You’re walking to your morning massage. Then it will be time for a dip in your villa’s private pool before you head out to snorkel amongst the manta rays. You’re in the Maldives. Heaven on Earth really does exist.
If you’re looking for place to head for vacation this fall that will make all other destinations pale in comparison, look no further. The 5 star Milaidhoo Island Maldives, opening this November, is one of the most highly-anticipated luxury resort openings of the year. It isn’t hard to see why. Prepare yourself for the ultimate in pampering in the heart of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve paradise. Escape the everyday to an island where barefoot informality is encouraged in a luxurious and classically chic environment. Don’t worry about selfie-stick toting guests (these gadgets are highly discouraged), you’ll be too focused on your dolphin, whale shark and manta ray neighbors within this protected marine area. Pack your bags, paradise has been found.
Nestled within the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the Baa Atoll of the Maldives you’ll find 30 over-water villas and 20 additional villas among the tropical greenery along the beach. Each villa comes complete with private freshwater swimming pool and your own personal concierge for your entire stay. You cannot escape the natural beauty of your surroundings as your villa’s outdoor space allows the eye to span 180 degrees of stunning natural scenery. Constructed in the true contemporary Maldives style, the custom work throughout the resort adds to the uniqueness of Milaidhoo.
Though the resort is boutique its dining options are on a grand scale. Choose from 3 restaurants and 2 bars throughout your stay. A modern take on “island influenced” cuisine will be offered in the signature restaurant, and the impressive wine list will please any connoisseur. And not to fret, each villa comes complete with its own wine fridge to keep your favorite bottles within reach.
Idyllic beaches, world famous diving and snorkeling, fishing trips and cultural excursions are just some of the memory-making activities Milaidhoo will offer. For the luxury traveler seeking to experience the Maldives with his or her partner at a platinum level you’ve chosen the right place. The only resort in the Baa Atoll to be created specifically with couples in mind, it will offer an exclusive collection of activities for the most discerning of guests.
Milaidhoo is a scenic 30-minute seaplane flight from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport, also known as Malé International Airport, the main international airport of the Maldives.
