Privately owned by a Maldivian entrepreneur, The Nautilus Maldives has been created to become of the leading resorts in the world and is dedicated to the concept of offering absolute freedom for the guest. These freedoms begin with a VIP arrival at the airport, where every guest is met outside the plane and taken to the VIP lounge for customs and immigration before flying in the private seaplane to the island.
A bohemian hideaway set in the otherworldly beauty of Baa Atoll, a UNESCO biosphere reserve, The Nautilus is an immensely private resort of 26 beach and ocean houses where every experience is tailored to the guest, who should feel more as if vising an old friend than staying in a hotel. At The Nautilus, only 26 beach and ocean houses line our shores – each a personal sanctum with its own separate living room and private pool, infusing the comforts of home with a bohemian whimsy that invites you into the barefoot life. A beautiful coral reef wraps around the island ensuring exquisite snorkelling on your doorstep whenever you want to dip in.
No dress codes, no rules. Restaurants have flexible opening times so the guest dines when they’re ready and not according to schedule. Freedoms include daily sunset cocktails and light bites from the Deli all day long along with complimentary house water in all our restaurants. Baby-sitting, laundry, non-motorized watersports, snorkeling equipment and your own personal butler are all part of the service.
Three restaurants and two bars, plus 24-hour room service and destination dining offer a world of culinary temptations. But more than that, the main idea here is that you can order more than just what’s on the menu: welcome to the world of unscripted dining; of free-spirited culinary journeys guided by your tastes. Eat when you’re hungry, have breakfast for dinner, drink Champagne in bed. The Nautilus delights in veering off script, crafting bespoke culinary journeys designed just for you. This is a world where a menu is just a place to gather inspiration and meals are designed for you, whenever you want them. No opening or closing, no breakfast hours, no dress codes. Come as you are, enjoy great company and indulge in a shared passion for extraordinary cuisine.
All houses have unbounded ocean views from the separate living room and bedroom (suite); large freshwater outdoor swimming pool and private deck with sun loungers, dining table and swinging chair; full butler service. Plus: free WiFi, tea/coffee machine, complimentary daily water and soft drinks, complimentary bottle of champagne on arrival, complimentary daily fruit, evening gourmet turn down, mini bar, wine fridge, two flat-screen satellite TVs, on-demand movies, spacious air-conditioned bathroom, designer bathroom toiletries, luxurious free standing bathtub, separate walk-in shower; air conditioning and ceiling fan.
